It can't be fully removed by most people though 2 or 3 on here have had luck with salons and expensive sessions in bleaching it out over a period of time It's definitely something you don't want to do on impulse - but if you're positive you want to be a redhead of some shape or form and will adjust to and love whatever shade henna gives you, for a very very very long time, then it can be very awesome - and great for the hair's condition!

November 2nd, , PM 3. I hennaed over dyed blond hair just a week after dying and had no problems with adverse colors or reactions. I used BAQ though and was very sure that it really was straight henna and cassia.

Nightshade has an excellent henna article that gives a lot more detail, I'm not sure how to link things in here first, but if you find a post from her the link to the article is in her signature. You can do really great things with henna and indigo if you want the deep dark red almost black type colors or even multiple applications of straight henna to build up to the color red you want. If your hair is dark brown now it seems like the straight henna might take you close to the color you'd like to get to, though it could take more than one application to get there.
